How large of a group can you handle?
We can easily handle groups up to 75 people. We can handle large groups with more advanced planning. We will work to accommodate any size group.

How long does a race take for my group (assumes 20-25 people)?
We want to give each racing member of your group ample time behind the wheel. Usually we format our races into the following program:

  • 10 lap warm-up / practice session
  • 10 lap qualifying session
  • 15-20 lap feature race

You can plan on about 1 ˝ hours of time needed for the orientation session, safety review and racing. You will have plenty of time for socializing following the racing program.

How much for a group outing?
Group outings are custom designed depending on each group and their requirements. Give us your group’s size and requirements and we’ll be happy to design a great race program for you.

Kart racing seems dangerous. What kind of liability is there?
The safety of all of our guests is our NUMBER ONE PRIORITY at Hot Laps. We outfit each driver with the latest in safety equipment and have a thorough review of the rules and safety regulations before each racing session. We do not tolerate aggressive driving and will give those types of drivers a "time-out" before ending their driving session. Our karts are "ASTM" safety certified, which means they are built to the highest level of safety available in the industry. We insure each event through our Liability insurance company as well.

What age requirements are there to drive the karts?
You must be a licensed driver to compete in our adult karts in a league or as part of our Arrive & Drive program. Proper ID is required for verification purposes. Our youth karts used in our Youth Racing School program are available for ages 7-17. A minor release form must be signed by at least one parent on-site before participation.
